What are you learning?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 20, 2008:
I am learning that there is definitely a time to speak and a time to remain silent.
Sometimes in my eagerness to "share" my thoughts or "impress" with my wisdom, I fail to listen to others when they are speaking. Because others also do this to me, I have realized that maybe this annoying trait is simply a desperate cry for recognition - a cry I have been guitly of many times myself.
Lately, I've been listening more, speaking less, and growing in peace. I've had insights and "a ha" moments that delight me. Listening to others, really listening, is rewarding and fun,
For me, it is also a way of honoring others with respect and dignity.
